Should I sleep with my dentures in my mouth?
- A lot of patients grind or clench their teeth in their sleep consequently, they may wake with a sore jaw. Hence, it is better to take your dentures out before you go to bed and soak them in a cup of water. Some patients do not like to take their teeth out at night but there is another option: you can take dentures out in the morning when you are showering or shaving. Any break helps the tissue in your mouth breath better and easier.
What should I do with my old dentures after I have received my new dentures?
- When you have received your new dentures, soak them overnight in a denture cleaner, then rinse them profoundly, dry them and put them in a re-sealable bag for emergency use.
Do I need a referral to see a denturist?
- No, you do not need a referral to see a denturist at Kingston Denture Clinic. Our denturist will refer you to a physician or dentist if during evaluation it is found that you would need their services.
